Portsmouth Football Club is an English football club based in the south coast city of Portsmouth. The club is nicknamed Pompey, with their fans known as "The Blue Army". They play in the Premier League. They have played their home matches at Fratton Park since 1898. The club is currently owned by the Franco-Russian-Israeli Alexandre Gaydamak. They are the current holders of the FA Cup which was won in 2008 and the Barclays Asia Trophy. Pompeys bitter rivals are local team Southampton who currently play in the Championship. In 2008, Portsmouth reached the FA Cup final for the first time since 1939. They eliminated Manchester United at Old Trafford.
